About CAaPS

At CAaPS, we are committed to providing high-quality behaviour support services tailored to the unique needs of each individual. With a person-centred approach, our team works collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individuals we support.

CAaPS was founded with a mission to create a positive impact for individuals living with autism, mental health conditions, dementia, and behaviours of concern. We are proud to be part of the NDIS space, where we can offer specialised services to enhance the lives of participants across New South Wales, the ACT, and beyond.

Our Founder – Toni Cooper

With nearly 25 years of experience in the disability sector, Toni Cooper, our Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, has dedicated her career to improving the lives of people with complex needs. Starting as a casual support worker in 2003, Toni has worked her way through nearly every position in the industry, from frontline roles to General Manager positions.

Toni has spent many years in government roles, including as NDIS Assistant Director of Fraud and Compliance, where she contributed to policy and legislation that shaped the NDIS landscape.

Her journey into behaviour support began at Giant Steps, a private school in Sydney, where she specialised in Autism. She led a 3-year project with the Centre for Applied Behaviour Analysis, and contributed significantly to the ACT Government’s Restrictive Practices Panel steering committee, where her input was crucial in shaping the policy behind restrictive practice legislation.

Since 2020, Toni has returned to the NDIS space as a registered behaviour practitioner, expanding her services between Newcastle and the ACT. She brings nearly 20 years of behavioural expertise and is passionate about providing personalised, effective behaviour support that empowers individuals and promotes positive change.
